bring users together to share ideas and collaborate...find common apps including LMS app

http://goo.gl/JojVo

goo.gl or  bit.ly for shortening (I use tiny url) (tiny url and bit.ly you can customize URL, but goo.gle gives you the QR code too)

http://goo.gl/JojVo

Merlot has a great app resource too of good apps: http://Goo.gl/hoor4

I definitely need to try out Storify

ITC Using QR Codes and Video to Enhance Learning

Dr. Douglas Mann

Video Examples from side walls posted in conference room:

Black and White and Scanned all over High School using QR codes

Knight College Physics example using QR codes
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=VLg1kpPja6M&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DVLg1kpPja6M

"When it get's you thinking...that's good"

QRCode Generator (QR Stuff Free Online)
QRStuff.com

Video as QR code that we as a group uploaded, watched and then applied.  Photo to come!  But our group succeeded!
http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/evinsmj/8489370195/
http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/evinsmj/8489379121/
http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/evinsmj/8489380675/

QR's are kind of hip now so if it helps engage students a little more and that's a cool.

Mobile learning for evaluation

Alot of potential for campus--harder to come up with ideas for online classes.

Some Ideas:
QR Scavenger Hunt
QR Quilt or Mosiac (to get to know each other, or pool videos or other resournces)
Back history of places (ie Why is the Chalberg Theatre named that--who was he?)

Students create a business card with a business card

I suggested creating a free blog just to have a website for content generation and page selection for URLs to use to create/make into QR code

cont.

Voki.com
Speaking Avatars

SoftChalk & SoftChalk Cloud
(Neither are free)

YouSeeU
(site licensing) or $20 per students (for year) that could be done as a course fee
can be put into online or technology fee (if other departments use this it could be beneficial)
record assignment online
you can add comments
student summaries (or student story sharing)
students can comment on each others in live time (synced)
add slides

Cool.  Above link page 3 has form creator for creating a self check with embedding code that we think we then just copy and paste into our D2L.
* Have to explore this!

Page 5 has Drag and Drop template
Can do text or images
Make the files and zip them up

clickable list generator--use with image

dynamic image--
* Could be cool for Windows & Mirrors integration

Great Presentation.  Awesome sharable and usable resources.  Hope the templates work for us in D2L. If they do, this one session was worth the cost of the conference! :) Thanks!
